Why Have A Litter Box?

Why should you get a litter box for your cat, after all, dogs don’t use a litter box? You may be surprised to hear this but some dogs do use a litter box but that is neither here nor there. Cats are far different from dogs, aside from breed, cats can be broken up into two main groups, indoor cats and outdoor cats. The world is an outdoor cats litter box and although it may be a good idea to provide a place for your pet to do their “business” even though they spend most of their time outside, it is not as essential as it is to provide one for an indoor cat.

Before going into detail about the benefits of using a litter box I would first like to discuss why no cat owner should have an “outdoor cat”. You may think that allowing your pet to come and go as they please is a good thing. You may see it as letting them have their freedom. In reality you are opening the door for your cat to run into some real dangers. Although cats are much more well equipped to take care of themselves, without the aid other owners, they are still domesticated animals. Letting your pet roam freely outside could lead to some grave consequences.

If it weren’t for a vat box, where would your pet relieve themselves. I am sure that no matter where they chose you would not be very happy when you finally came across it.

  • Here are some of the reasons why using a litter box is a good idea:
  • Cats can be trained very easily to use a litter box, sometimes within one day.
  • Litter boxes, even fancier ones, are extremely affordable and easy to find.
  • You can choose where to place a litter box and therefore help control unpleasant odors in your hope.
  • Litter boxes are very easy to clean and cat litter is cheap to replace.
  • A litter box gives your pet a private place to do their business.

Cats tend to march to the beat of their own drum and, unlike dogs, may not want to tell you when they need to go to the bathroom. Having a litter box or two in your home will ensure that you do not walk into a special surprise hidden behind the couch or under your bed.
